Greater New Orleans Foundation
The 2019 Annual Report was one of my earlier projects with the Greater New Orleans Foundation. The Foundation had just completed a full brand refresh with a new logo, colors, typography, graphic elements, tone, and messaging. This report was one of the first publicly released documents that showed off the new branding. Because of that, I wanted to ensure that anyone who picked up this report saw all of the new elements and started making those associations with this over 90 year old institution. To continue to push out the brand’s new look-and-feel, I created a wide range of office products, workshop tools, promotional merchandise, email signatures, presentation deck templates, and other assets as well as a full Communications Guide, Writing Style Guide, and Brand Guidelines to ensure all staff members and partners would be presenting to their best ability. The goal during this initial round of branded items was to show a very strong and unified look so that all stakeholder’s of the organization would begin to recognize the new visual identity.
Once the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s main brand was launched successfully, I began to work on the other assets and sub-brands that existed under their umbrella. Previous designs for the Foundation’s work rarely followed any type of cohesive branding and often promoted themselves as a singular entity, rather than the work of the Foundation. I ensured that all sub-brands looked and acted like they belonged to the Foundation’s portfolio.
New sub-brands for the Foundation were created to continue strengthening the visual identity and brand recognition for the Foundation. These logos were created to have their own personalities, but also clearly appear as a part of the overall portfolio of the organization.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation is a thought-leader and expert in a variety of subjects, from nonprofit operations and efficiency, green infrastructure, disaster response, and more. I got to design quite a few reports to help share their knowledge with the world. You can view the full reports here.
Social media is an integral outlet for the Foundation to spread the word about upcoming events, grants, and partnership opportunities. The above image shows a sampling of social media posts that were created and run on their platforms.
In 2023, the Foundation celebrated its centennial anniversary. To celebrate, I created a centennial logo lockup as well as did the website UI/UX design. This interactive website includes a timeline that tells the story of the Foundation’s impact since 1923. You can view the full website here.
